Monday Night Running Club
CHRISTMAS PARTY
DECEMBER 14, 2009 - Dowagiac Elks 6:00PM

 

We had a great turnout and a good time.  The food was superb and the company was even better.  Smiles were seen and laughter heard throughout the room.  The only damper on the evening was the time we took to honor the recent passing of Bob Cowan after his head injuries from falling off the roof of their Dairy Queen a week ago.  Bob and wife Pam were members of MNRC for several years, but have not been active with us for some time.  (obituary)  The club voted to honor Bob's memory with a $50 donation to the Steve Briegel memorial scholorship.

Coach Gunn provided a wonderful musical program for us.  Somehow he hornswaggled his student secretary Meagan to sing for us in the middle of finals week!  Meagan, accompanied by  her Mom Gina on the keyboard, sang three Christmas hymns to the delight and appreciation of all.  She is very talented and we are most grateful that she and her mother gave so freely of their time and talents.  Thank you both!
